"Walk Circles Around Quispamsis" Community Challenge for ParticipACTION Town Events

Residents are invited to take part in this year’s Community Challenge for ParticipACTION and help the town win up to $100,000.

 

ParticipACTION runs June 1-30 across Canada, ultimately recognizing Canada’s Most Active Community. This year’s local Community Challenge theme is “Walk Circles Around Quispamsis.”

 

It is approximately 40 kms to walk or run in a complete circle around the town limits.

 

Mayor Libby O’Hara is encouraging residents to walk, run and ride to see how many times the community can complete the "circle."

 

O'Hara has pledged to walk three complete “circles,” or 120 km, during the month of June. She is encouraging other residents to join in and track their distances walked on streets, trails or anywhere else. Later in June, you can share your results so they can be tallied up.

 

To participate, register online at participaction.com.

 

At the conclusion of the challenge, Canada’s Most Active Community will receive $100,000 to support local physical activity and sports initiatives.
